Bourbon Pumpkin Espresso Martini Recipe (With Brother’s Bond Bourbon)
Halloween cocktails just got an upgrade. 🎃✨ If you love pumpkin spice season and need a little caffeine kick, this Bourbon Pumpkin Espresso Martini is about to become your fall favorite. It’s bold, cozy, slightly sweet, and packed with that silky espresso energy. Perfect for sipping at a Halloween party, or a casual evening spent sipping on the porch.
And the best part? We’re making it with Brother’s Bond Bourbon—a smooth, approachable bourbon crafted by none other than The Vampire Diaries stars Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley. It’s no secret that celebrity spirits can be wildly unpredictable, so it’s quite refreshing to know after just one sip that these two gentlemen know good bourbon!

The Recipe
Ingredients
2 oz Brother’s Bond Bourbon (or bourbon of your choice)
½ oz Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur (Kahlua can be used in a pinch, but Mr. Black makes a beautiful fit for this bourbon cocktail)
½ oz Pumpkin Puree (store-bought or homemade — [link here to store-bought] / [link here for DIY])
1 oz freshly brewed espresso shot (let cool to room temperature or place in refrigerator prior to mixing)
Ice
Garnish (optional): Dash of Nutmeg
Method
Add bourbon, Mr. Black, pumpkin puree, and espresso into a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake vigorously until well chilled, give a few extra shakes to increase the foam factor on your cocktail.
Strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass.
Garnish with a dusting of nutmeg for that cozy fall vibe.
Sip, smile, repeat. 🥂
Why Brother’s Bond Bourbon?
A fun fact for all my fellow TVD fans: as mentioned above, Brother’s Bond Bourbon was created by Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, the Salvatore brothers themselves.
I first discovered Brother’s Bond after entering the Brother’s Bond Bourbon Thanksgiving cocktail competition (and winning!). The highlight? Getting to hop on an Instagram Live and be interviewed by Ian & Paul about my cocktail recipe! For me, it was an incredible moment—not only as a bartender and bourbon enthusiast, but also as a longtime Vampire Diaries fan. I have many Brother’s Bond recipes in the queue for this holiday season, and I’ll be sure to share the winning recipe, along with some new BBB favorites.
